This meal can be made on it's own or with any side you like. I personally make this with meat on the side or a salad."Who does not like delicious food that can be made quick & everyone will love?"
INGREDIENTS (serves 4-6 servings)
First let's start of by dicing some bacon ;)
Put it in a pan let it cook and turn golden and crispy. Yummy!
Once they are done take them out and place them on a paper towel to drain of excess oil.
OK let's get the rest started...
You will need
4 Clean Potatoes (any)
Cut then in slices and wash them well.
Place in any bowl of your taste like wise
Add Salt and Pepper or Adobo on the potatoes
Now we are going to work on the sauce that will go OVER the potatoes which are nicely placed on our bowls of our choice.
On a pan add 3 table spoons of butter
3 table spoons of All Purpose Flour
It's going to look similar to this
Add 2 cups of milk
Whisk
Add diced Onions
Diced Garlic
Diced Cilantro
Now you can add the bacon also.
Add salt and Pepper
Add Shredded Cheese. Half (1/2) a cup and you might want to save some to sprinkle over at the end.
Cheese of your preference. I like Mozzarella but you choose according to your taste.
Or if you can't make up your mind than use both. Why not?
This will turn into a sauce in about 30 to 60 seconds. That is all! A rich, creamy sauce. Once it becomes thick but creamy remove immediately and place OVER the potatoes. Cover them all. Sprinkle some extra cheese on top. (optional)
This is my personal Au Gratin Potatoes picture which I made with Turkey Patties and Butter Biscuits as sides. You can add any vegetable to this recipe.
If your child or yourself do not like vegetables this is a good way to sneak some in.
Add Broccoli or Spinach.
My Au Gratin has diced Spinach!
