Delicious and Moist Breaded Whiting Fillets With Homemade Honey Mustard Dipping!

Whiting Fillets are one of my favorites and even though it is very versatile I absolutely love this recipe the best when it comes to these fillets.

Not only are they going to be moist on the inside but they will be crunchy and golden on the outside.

The best part?
Dunking it on this honey mustard dipping sauce YOU are going to create in just 1 minute!
It's that easy.

Ingredients

Let's start with the easy part

Homemade Honey Mustard Sauce

1/2 cup of Honey

1/2 cup of Mustard

1 pinch of salt

Stir and give it a taste. If you are content with it you can put it in the refrigerator but if you like it with a little twist you can add

1 pinch of pepper

A tbsp. of mayonnaise

That is all! Now you can refrigerate while you prepare the fillets.

Breaded Whiting Fillets

So easy and delicious!

1 cup of Corn Meal

1 cup of All Purpose Flour

1 tsp.. of garlic powder (optional)

Mix

Take your fillets and give them a wash.

Season with which ever season you like best.

I use ADOBO GOYA,
and 1 SAZON GOYA for color and flavor.

You can use basic salt and pepper or any seasoning you have at home and like with your fish.

Here comes the secret!

Take a cup of MAYONNAISE
(mayonnaise is so much better than egg to bread it keep the meat very moist and tasteful)

Cover all of your fillets with the mayonnaise right after seasoning them and then cover the fillets with the dry breading we created.
Once they are completely covered with the above ingredients you can bake them, fry them or do what I love to do.

I add 2 tbsp. of butter in a frying pan and melt it. Add the fillets.

I make 4 fillets at a time. Too many fillets will not only mess up your breading but  some will be moist and others dry. You don't want that. Patience is key.

Once the Fish has become golden on one side turn fish to the other side to cook as well. Once it is completely golden and crunchy it is ready! 10 to 15 minutes the most!

That is all! You are ready to serve and get ready because they will be gone in a blink of an eye.

You can serve it with any side you like. Anywhere from rice, rice and beans, tostones (fried plantains) , salad, and even in bread like a sandwich and even alone as an appetizer.

Dip the breaded fillets in the homemade honey mustard made by YOU and what a combination!!

YUMMY!!

I made this same breading with pork chops as well check them out...

Enjoy!
